Maarj Nuut & Ruum play at our co-curated event at Tallinn Music Week
11th Mar 2019
130701 / FatCat are co-curating an event at Tallinn Music Week on 30th March. Featuring a broad and adventurous, genre-defying selection of artists, the show will take place across 3 rooms in the new Eesti Kunstiakadeemia / Estonian Academy of Arts building.  As well as our own Estonian violin / electronics duo, Maarja Nuut & Ruum, the line up includes electronics from Irish duo Lakker and long-lost Estonian act Hypnosaurus; dense, saturated shoegaze from US outfit Ceremony;
the deeply atmospheric theremin and vocal constructions of Iceland’s Hekla; murky, post-industrial soundscaping from Italy’s Stromboli; instrumental experimentation from Canada’s Respectfulchild (violin) and Belarussian Yegor Zabelov (accordion); rhythmic post-rock / jazz of Swiss Trio Heinz Herbert; the shifting, improv tapestries of Poland’s M8N; plus electronics from local acts Ekke and Vera Vice.
The full line up is as follows (click for links to their music):
Lakker (IE)
Hekla (IS)
Ekke (EE)
M8N (PL)
