Olivier Alary set to release on LINE
19th May 2017

A couple of months on from his debut album for us, Montreal-based French composer Olivier Alary is due to release a digital album on Richard Chartier’s ever-interesting LINE imprint. In contrast to his orchestral ‘Fiction / Non-Fiction’ album,’Pieces for Sine Wave Oscillators’ is a purely electronic work, exploring the melodic, harmonic and contrapuntal possibilities of the most rudimentary expression of sound: the sine tone. Using a network of 64 software oscillators, Olivier creates a post-modern, digital chamber music.

The digital album will be out on June 2nd but you can read more and check out a track here.
