22nd Mar 2021

Brussels-based composer Rutger Hoedemaekers is the subject of an ‘in the studio’ feature for Headphone Commute. Alongside photos of his home studio set up, Rutger talks about his journey as a composer, starting out on a Commodore Amiga 500 as a 12 year-old. He discusses founding a big Berlin studio complex shared with Jóhann Jóhannsson, Hildur Gudnadottir, Gunni Tynes from Múm, Yair Elazar Glotman and others; unwraps some of the recording process of his recently released debut album; and talks about his favourite hardware and software.
