Watch: Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch new video on 4:3
1st Aug 2018

Boiler Room’s 4:3 site have premiered a new video for Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch‘s track ‘Morphee’. The track comes from the French pianist / composers new album, and it was directed by Weronika Tofilska, who writes: “I wanted to make a still life video – which is a kind of an oxymoron and  an exciting challenge for a director and editor. In a way this paradox is what interested me – how to capture the passing of time, witness change and destruction using inanimate objects. Through this I wanted to try to tell a simple story about women and the way they experience change in their lives.  The inspiration behind that were traditional still life paintings which play a lot of these ideas of vanity and mortality, but instead of skulls, quills and dead rabbits, I wanted to use modern equivalents.  This reflects in an interesting way the duality existing in Emilie’s music – the two parallel worlds of beautiful minimal piano and eery electronics.”

You can watch the video via 4:3 here.

Emilie’s new album ‘Epoques’ was released a couple of weeks ago and you can listen to it in full and find out more here.
