Ian William Craig to unveil new work in 12-hour Vancouver show
22nd Feb 2021

Over the past few months, Ian William Craig has been doing a residency at Western Front arts space in his hometown of Vancouver. Whilst there, Ian has been experimenting with spatalising the outputs of four of his customised tape machines to form a piece that becomes self-perpetuating: sound feeds back from the speakers through microphones and again through the tape, generating new sounds that repeat the process.

Ian will be unveiling the piece this weekend in a series of three  long-duration, Covid-safe, free entry live events, where visitors are invited to enter the space to experience this work in progress. The shows include a mammoth 12-hour event on Saturday. This presentation is the first iteration of several developments of this project, which Craig will be involved with at Western Front. Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, capacity is limited and reservations are required in advance of visiting.
