15th Jan 2021

Self-Titled magazine have premiered a second single from Dutch composer Rutger Hoedemaekers‘ forthcoming ‘The Age Of Oddities’ album, describing it as “a fitting tribute to [Jóhann] Jóhannsson… doubly essential”. The single, ‘Not For That Hour, Nor For That Place’ is out today on DSPs and in the Self-Titled feature, Rutger talks about the track’s complex construction of stacked and processed layers, which includes reversed recordings of The Budapest Art Orchestra and Theatre of Voices’ soprano Else Torp.
